Glenn Beck took issue with the fact that Ed Schultz pointed out that the majority of attendees at his rally were old, white, McCain-Palin holdovers. I guess the truth hurts, Glenn. Ed Schultz goes after Beck in last night’s “Fired Up” segment.

Colleen – I was going through our spam filter and found a ton of your comments caught in there for some reason. I couldn’t figure out why that was happening, but I just wanted you to know that we aren’t trying to block you in any way. I’ll keep an eye on our filter and try to prevent that from happening in the future.
Farron,
I went through the other 2 threads that our still on the main board. All of my comments are there so I wouldn’t of even known until you bought this to my attention. So this is really strange. Thank you for letting me know. I really appreciate it.
Farron,
I just thought about this a little more. I think I know why your seeing my comments in the spam filter. When I try to post from AOL, namely in the evening, when I hit the “submit” button, my comment don’t post. Then I have to switch over to Internet Explorer (which is a pain in the butt)so my comments post. I think your getting the stuff that won’t post from AOL.
In fact, I just had to switch over to IE just to post this comment.
Beck clearly has no credibility, no matter how much the right-wingers believe him. Is he really supposed to be God’s “ambassador”?? What does it really mean for “America to turn back to God”? Seems to me that when it comes to choice of religion, you’d think it’s like the movie “The Usual Suspects” where we don’t really know who was Kaiser Soze. Other than that, don’t most of us get tired of people trying to proselytize us with the Jesus card claiming they know God? I can kind of see why Bill Maher dismisses religion as a “talking snake.”
Colleen, I left a couple of comments on the previous ROFR explaining why I was NOT equating what you said there to Dick Cheney saying “stuff happens.”
I like the clip Ed showed of who the REAL lunatic is!!! WTF?! This Beck screamed at this woman on the phone why? She spook the truth about HIM and that’s the last thing he wants to hear because it’s ugly. Anyone who would hear that clip would think he belongs in a rubber room except his lunatic followers of course.
NR,
I saw your post…it’s all good.
It’s almost always inevitable that when progressives ask right-wingers straight-fwd questions they either dodge it, scream, or walk/storm away. I saw on Hardball with Chris Matthews this afternoon the Arizona gov. being questioned on an apparent beheading of “illegal immigrants” crossing the US/Mexico border in the desert. I’ve never seen such an arrogant gov. like that – and the gov. in my state is really not that far behind from her when it comes to drinking the kool-aid on the crazy train. He’s attempting to privatize liquor stores so that they’re no longer run by the state gov’t. In VA, the liquor stores are ABC stores that are state-gov’t run.
Just to clarify on the AZ gov., this “beheading” story was apparently made up by her.
Here’s a local news video on the AZ gov. race:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ray_1ROtYdI&feature=player_embedded
NR,
I just saw on Keith the clip where that Gov. Brewer walked/stormed off from reporters about the beheading of illegal immigrants. What a nutcase! Keith also showed the clip you left here about the AZ Gov race. Is she an idiot!!! But then again, all these tea baggers are idiots/nutcases.
Colleen, as I’ve been saying a lot lately, people need to vote more with their brains and less on their wallets and emotions, especially when it comes to the 2010 election.
NR,
You’re right, but there are alot of loonies out there. My state was on Keith’s worsts list tonight again. We got the bronze AND the silver. Keith said “Is there an oxygen shortage in WI?” I think there is. I see so many Scott Walker for Governor signs it makes me sick. Not just the rich Reps I clean for but even on my side of town! Scott Walker isn’t going to do a thing for the working class! I’ll be getting my Tom Barrett for Governor sign soon and it will go in my patio window. The landscape needs it!
This is a short but VERY good article about the Glenn Beck and how “It Could Happen Here.” A must read for all.

Lordy, Lordy,
that FLOCK ‘O GEESE -
Whooooooaaaaa!!!!
Those sh*t-droppin’ geese Sure LUV Beck!!!!
“Buckle UP!!!! Get Behind the Shield” Of God”!!! Do as BECK Commands US!!!
(After ALL: Those Geese Might Cr@p on Anyone)!!!!
I, myself, like to use the “shield of God” to protect myself from Pigeons, as well, and when I’m at the shore, SeaGulls!!!
That “Shield” sure comes in Handy!!!!!
Ed’s fat????
Hell NO he Ain’t!!!!
Listen, I KNOW fat, and Ed Ain’t Fat!!!
(We sure Do live in an anorexic loving culture)….
Ed is *Do-Able*, and I’m Sorry to be so Crass, but that’s the Simple Truth!!!!
He wears nice ties, too!
Ed is very Strong. Beck, on the other hand, is a no’count weakling.
The problem is, this world rewards those like Beck.
Listen, it’s not just “old white people” but it IS the *views* of “old white people” that are behind beck.
Beck better get behind the “Shield of God” and “buckle up” into a damn straight jacket.
Colleen, Others,
Please read the article – it’s Long but Riveting – on Sarah Palin, (called “Sarah Palin: the Sound and the Fury”) at Vanity Fair:
http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2010/10/sarah-palin-201010
Colleen,
The short article you linked to on Beck, which I read, is saying what the much longer one, on Palin, says.
BOTH are must-reads!!!
Mara,
Great article about Palin from Vanity Fair. It tells everything you need to know about this woman. She is also a nutcase. Wow.
Colleen,
You would be…..
CORRECT!!!!!
She’s Actually CRAZY. And vicious.
Saw a cartoon today refering to Becks’ “I have a delusion” speech. Wish I’d have thought of it!!!!
Funny I would like to ask Beck about how come God’s shield isn’t protecting the common people from rich people and corporations? If I am giving money to God’s church for protection and saying my prayers asking protection, but not getting it, can I go to the Church and demand they give back all the “protection” money to me and other people. Can I be damn for blasphemy if I told the priests that prayers have not help me at all; therefore, what is the use of praying?
I never even hear of Ed Schulze until he show up on ROF. Frankly, I have never heard of Randy Rhodes, Thom Hartmann, etc. until I listen to Air America and Free Speech TV.
I don’t know the real difference between rage, anger, passion, and being play mad. To me, they are all the same. When parents chew out kids in a heated tone, they say they are not angry just mad; however, kids are label angry by the parents instead of being label mad. Such double standards.
Wouldn’t it be better if it was a flight of white doves with a olive branch in their mouths doing a flight of peace?
People with change their minds about the police and FBI once they find out they have sedition files on them and the police arrest them on phony, baloney charges at a demonstrations.
G,
Ed Schultz is on MSNBC before Hardball with Chris Matthews. Ed tells it like it is.
Thanks Colleen.
G,
Ed is good.
You’re welcome.
