Papantonio Kicks Cato’s Butt on CNBC

The Cato Institute claims to have the solution to creating jobs in America – OUTSOURCE! Yes, you read that correctly. The Cato Institute believes that outsourcing American jobs will actually create more American jobs. Mike Papantonio appears on CNBC’s Street Signs to teach the folks at Cato a lesson.

Dan from the Cato Institute was really speechless after Mike stated that he play tit for tat with the Republicans. i don’t recall the Cato Institute telling Corporate America that shipping jobs overseas would be bad for the nation. Furthermore, the Cato Institute did not do anything about the lack of or rather failure of press coverage regarding the shady dealings in Washington.

Dan is complaining about a welfare state? He didn’t talk about all the money bailing out American businesses plus the tax breaks and subsidies given to them.

It was big business that created the 10% unemployment not government. That guy need glasses and a new brain.

Well, okay, I guess Micah is also a Man’s name….

“Micah? It’s Mike.”

Yes, well, Mike is such an unusual name for a Man, I can’t really blame her….

Correction to the keyboard cat video I mentioned and posted: Peter Schiff made an accurate prediction of the housing bubble in 2006, and Mike Norman and the other pundits were all wrong.

NR says:

This CATO institute representative was flip-flopping back and forth, not to mention lying about business and gov’t. First, he says, “we don’t want too many regulations”, then he says “we need oversight.” And then he says “big gov’t doesn’t create jobs.” Eh, news flash: banana republics don’t create jobs either, where they outsource jobs to overseas factories with no regulations or oversight.

Similarly, I have been seeing these ads fairly recently, which are rather vague about “regulation-killing jobs” and “don’t let gov’t get in the way of getting a job”. I’ve even seen this ad aired on MSNBC, but WTF is that really about? Sounds a bit too oxymoron, since for the most part, employees don’t really need to be regulated – it’s the CEOs at the top that need to be regulated in order to treat their workers with dignity and fairness.

As for Mike, I liked how he showed some good BALLS towards the end of this video. But, it’s amazing that the right-wing playbook keeps holding onto the agenda in politics, much like Goebbles’ strategy in Nazi Germany. As I’ve said before, some people CAN get fooled ALL the time – and, that’s why there is FOX News and unregulated corporations that can buy out the law.

With further adieu, here is another keyboard cat video playing off Peter Schiff on FOX News when he made a prediction in 2006 that turned out to be downright false:

YESSS!!! Mike relocated Cato’s Mr. Lie-in-your-face Grintchwold’s mouth to a more appropriate part of his anatomy. LOVE IT!!

It’s absolutely outrageous Issa sent his “service request” letter to 150-plus trade associations, private companies and think tanks under the banner of protecting “job creation”. Dempublicans and Repugnocrats BOTH are despicable tools of this corporate coup and a REAL investigation I would openly welcome. 40,000 American factories closed under the Bush regime – either going out of business or moving to China and elsewhere. Those jobs are gone forever. The economy may have been driven off the road, but it’s now being sucked into a black hole.

Chinese labor demanded and for the most part got a 60% increase in wages over the last 3 quarters. In the long-term, considering shipping and trade costs, outsourcing labor to China has a limited shelf life. Like the oil in the ground it’s all about getting’ while the gettins’ good. At any rate the politics part of it is just distraction. Issa is just snarling guard dog at the gates of Empire.

Colleen says:

Micah? It’s Mike. Anyway, all outsourcing does is send more jobs overseas! Anyone that espouses that as good job growth policy is an idiot and has NO credibility in this debate.

Mara says:

That pinched-voice Cato Institute guy is trying to pretend as if he thinks All politicians are the Same to him, more or less, when it’s quite Clear, given who he works for and his past history, that he’s 100% on the side of Republicans.

So, not only does he have a pinchy little voice, he’s Also a LIAR.

It’s my dream that someday these debates can go much further, and be much longer. Mike Always wins them, but I want to hear Mike expand on this More, because he’s Brilliant and the opposition Sucks, Big-Time!

Even so, w/the cramped amount of time, I got a Lot out of this!
