Papantonio: The Anti-Government Crowd Trying To Dismantle Public Schools

More than likely, the lack of education is the root of America’s problems.

As for the problems in gov’t, let’s not forget that for 8 years during the Bush/Cheney admin., it was *their* gov’t that pre-empted an unnecessary war in Iraq, delayed coming to the rescue to the Hurricane Katrina victims affected in the Gulf, among other things. – It’s rather odd that the only thing Bush, Jr. really regrets is what Kanye West said during that telethon arguing that he didn’t care about black people.

Nevertheless, it’s certainly sad that there is an assault by the right wing on gov’t, as well as gov’t workers over the past 30+ years…As for the post office, I sense a patriotic duty to send more things in the mail, as opposed to online such as paying bills and donating checks to charity. It can be nice to get a decent piece of mail delivered to my mailbox than to get a spam e-mail. With the post office delivering mail up to 6 days a week, I sense that getting mail is like a kind of Chanukah where one gets presents at least once every day. Too bad there is legislation in order to get post offices to discontinue Saturday delivery.
