In Dec 2001 Irv Rubin and Earl Krugel were arrested for a plot to bomb, among other places, Darrel Issa’s LA district office. They were working with the Jewish Defense League and wanted to send Arabs a wake up call after Sept 11 plane attacks 3 months before. Rubin killed himself in the LA County Jail (family claims Irv was pushed by guards but surveillance tape doesn’t support claim) and Krugel died in prison. Blame Israel media lobby like camera. org for intimidating reporters, out of fear for their jobs, into not reporting this story much after the arrests. If a Jewish member of congress’ district office were an object of a similar threat USA would never be allowed to forget the threat.
Not to excuse Darrel Issa’s actions at all only to provide full context about Issa’s time in Congress.
The car alarm income made Issa the richest member of Congress. Jane Harman was second until she quit in 2011. Maybe the bomb threat from far right Jews was also to keep him from funding other congressmembers’ campaigns if pro-Israel PACS spent against them (and staying within Issa’s Rethuglicon party leaders priorities) for voting against AIPAC resolutions or building more of a relationship with J Street than with AIPAC.

Stick to the subject of bomb plot on Darrel Issa office and why it should be recalled hasbarabot comment trolls when starting the flame wars to suppress any mention of Israel on this blog comments unless it fits the Israel Project, Presidents Conference and Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs Public Diplomacy office narratives. Two narratives are Israel is always a weaker victim to some country Iran if not Palestine. And ‘delay and blame’ delay a Palestine state and blame Palestinians for the delay to justify Netanyahu coalition intransigence such as not following court decisions requiring settlement demolitions like Ulpana.

Darrell Issa and the GOP-”led” congress putting the AG in contempt sounds like a similar tone to the then GOP-”led” congress in 1998 impeaching Clinton over a BJ.

As for Romney, I’m SMH wondering how he can’t give straight, linear answers to some very straight-fwd questions, even when interviewed by FOX/Faux News, how he could be 2 points ahead of Obama in the Gallup poll (last time I checked this morning). Maybe the interviewer should try to tell him to answer either “yes” or “no” on what he may do different than Obama.
