Papantonio: Repeal Citizens’ United To Save Democracy

Recently, in areas across the country, rallies were held to support resolutions to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision in the Citizen United case – a case that has allowed billions of dollars of corporate money to dominate our election process and buy our democracy. NR says:

I remember on the eve of the Wisconsin recall vote last month, Ed Schultz mentioned that the outcome of the election would be either the power of money or the power of the people.

Sometimes, money can’t always buy an election like with how much money was pumped in for Fatah in the Palestinian gov’t election in 2006 where Hamas won that election.

Now, here’s an article from the Jewish newspaper blog site, The Forward with Sarah Silverman making an “indecent proposal” to Sheldon Adelson trying to convince him to change his mind between Romney and Obama in the 2012 election:

As for Obama’s re-election effort, I sent the Obama re-election campaign an e-mail a few mins. ago on why they don’t have the 50-state strategy that worked so well in 2008…For now, at least the Obama campaign has put out a very effective ad of Romney’s awful singing of America the beautiful as he shipped/ships jobs overseas to China and India and has several offshore bank accounts and tax havens such as Bermuda, the Cayman Island, Switzerland, etc.
